A Case of Bicornuate Uterus with Ruptured Salpinx

Abstract

|
Bicornuate uterus is arise from the defective fusion of the 2 mullerian ducts. Bicornuate uterus is the most common developmental anomaly among the uterine anomalies due to faulty fusion of the 2 mullerian ducts.
But it is not easy to detect if we are not interest in the uterine anomaly. And some of the uterine anomalies including bicornuate uterus contribute to serious fetal and maternal hazards such as habitual abortion, prematurity, abnormal fetal presentation, uterine dysfunction, premature labor and uterine rupture.
The authors report one case of the bicornuate uterus associated with ruptured right salpinx and a review of literature is presented.
